DO THE TALKING HEADS IN DHS REALLY HATE THE PRO-LIFE MOVEMENT SO MUCH?
Several days ago, Janet Napolitano, the head of Homeland Security, released a report on threats from right wing extremists. This caused headlines because in the document, Homeland Security talked about the supposed threat from returning veterans who have access to guns, battle plans, and have combat experience. Justly so, the report was condemned for this, as if all vets were dangerous, and Napolitano was forced to issue a rather half hearted apology. But what most folks don't know is that pro-lifers were singled out as well. As if those who hold the sanctity of life were like radical islamists--a clear and present danger.
Some have opined that right wing groups do cause terrorism at times. True, but so do well-meaning liberal, left-leaning causes. One needs only think of the eco-terrorists in there "Green" cause, or those for illegal immigration who are willing to do violence in their twisted idea of justice.
It is just amazing how bigoted this report is. Read it here if you have Adobe reader. It's really rather stunning. I'm not usually a glass half empty kind of guy, but this report even has me seeing black helicopters in the sky. Not really, but it does send a chill up my spine. Dark times are coming I think. What say you?

I just read an article entitled "Global Democracy and the
Rise of the King of Darkness" where the author asserted that America is well along the path of becoming a totalitarian entity.
"The United States, the much vaunted "Land of the free" which has appointed itself to preach freedom to the whole world and has risen to world leadership, is visibly becoming the "Home of the slave." All the while extolling the blessings of self-government, its citizens are forging for themselves legal and economic shackles which eventually will trammel not only their every move but their very thoughts, where even now they are learning to live their lives under constant electronic surveillance."
Just this morning listening to Mass on EWTN, the homilist stated in so many words "in the near future I will be liable for arrest and imprisonment for preaching what I have just said..."
It is already happening in Europe and even Canada.
From the same article mentioned above... " Despite all the flashy successes of the democratic process, natural law nonetheless is bound to reassert itself, because natural law is true reality and there is no gainsaying it. Operating invisibly through all channels of the electorate, it is not elected legislatures, but dynasties of wealthy families who already head the powerful oligarchies which actually dictate national and international policies, guiding the course of governments behind the scenes. Historically democracies have inevitably ended in dictatorship, for like any other living body the body politic cannot be governed by its feet and remain functioning for long. It must have a head to direct its operations, and the great one world Democracy now taking shape can be no exception."

They have lumped pro-lifers in with "primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups)," which is crazy. The strange thing about this movement is many "progressive" minded people will accuse the right of hate language then use heavily prejudiced language to describe the right.
My question is who really is hating more? Talk about going after your political opposition, read this exaggerated article: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/04/04/opinion/04blow.html
This game of painting your opposition into being hate-mongers is getting very old.
