Got to love this Pope! There on a huge field, under a night of shining stars in the midst of hundreds of thousands of candles, is Pope Benedict with his 800,000 young people. A challenging homily, so easy to understand, a clarion call for a different kind of revolution, and the crowd loved it. It was really the first homily he has given since the pre-conclave talk on relativism that gives a hint on how the Pope will context and implement his attack on secular relativism. Remarkably and almost guaranteed to confound the media, Benedict has managed to deliver a broadside to prevailing worldly thought that is positive, optimistic and joyful. To walk with the Star who is Jesus Christ, the shining Light of the World and to believe--that is the key to showing the world the Way.
