I like this statement alot:
"Is it an wonder that we are not better than the Galatians? That we are at least threatened by the same temptations... And that we always have to newly learn that highest priority: Love?"

The emphasis of the letter points to Love, which made me think about your recent post on Celtic prayer and the indwelling trinity, surrounding the person in love. The extremes that characterize this debate seem to lack the emphasis on Love when dealing with neighbor.

Pope Benedict comments on the one aspect that really has my attention: "Sometimes one has the impression that our society needs at least one group to which it needs to show no tolerance, which one is allowed to attack with hatred, unquestioned."

Our age disdains prejudice and intolerance and this attitude somehow has produced radical intolerance. It takes great humility to live the Love of Christ. This humility is something I sense we all need to pray for every day.

I believe it would be very helpful if your article and research includes the resons why Pope John Paul did not want these men in the church, he as we all know was and always will be represented by love and compassion. Help us to understand the true reasoning behind Pope Benedicts choice at this time.

****It isn't that they weren't wanted in the Church; they chose to separate themselves from the Church when they refused to recognize Vatican II. Their original excommunication was simply our ratification that they no longer wished to be in union with us.

I like these verses from Bible, and would like to share them with you. For we should love Gods word so much

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God

Romans 6: 23 For wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ jesus

Romans 5:8 God proved his love to us in yet while we were sinners Christ died for us

Romans 10:9-13 If you confess with your mouth that jesus is Lord and beleive in your heart that God raised him from the dead you will be saved

Turn from sin, and place faith and trust in Christ alone

James 2:19 You believe there is a God good even demons do

Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace that one is saved and this is not of works

Psalm 14:3 for there is no one who does good not even one.

Sin has a price and that price is hell, so turn from sin and place faith in Christ and give him the wheels to your car and have control of your life
